  Stayed at the Hugel Haus for a wedding at Big Powderhorn. Hard to beat the convenience. The room was comfortable but just a bit outdated. Part of the time, but new hardware in the showers and a bit of a facelift would really take this property to the next level.

  We had a great time staying at Hugel Haus. Our unit was a very short walk to the lodge and lifts, located directly across the road. We were very impressed with the entire experience, with the lovely staff and crew and we enjoyed every minute.

  Attended wedding in main lodge which turned out to be walking distance from unit 3. Cabin like mini kitchenette setting. Clean,but dated. Carpet needs replacing to include nasty looking throw rugs in bathroom. Otherwise satisfied.

  Bed and futon comfortable.
  Plenty of HOT water and electric fireplace worked well to dry wet ski gear.
  Overall great stay and would stay again if in area.
  Walk to lodge/lift is a huge plus.
  Some things to conscider.
  A baking sheet that fits in oven. Current one is too large.
  Bathroom fan is VERY noisy.
  Could use some hangers in the closet.
  Front desk staff not very knowledgeable of events and hours of operation of amenities.

  My wife and I stayed at Hugal Haus 3. This upper unit is located across from the main lodge, which makes its location the next best thing to trail side. The bathroom vanity is new, but the shower head was really old and in poor condition. The mattress was extremely firm. We did not use the kitchen, but it appeared dated. Overall, my wife and I were happy with our stay, but be prepapared for the old and rustic finishes.

  Our stay in Hügel Haus was nice, good equipped unit, 4 member family fits in with all stuff well, very comfortable distance to the main lodge and lifts. The bathrooms need the faucets and ceiling replacement. Overall satisfied and would happily recommend.

  My husband and I came up to ski for the weekend and even though I've been visiting powderhorn since J was a kid, this is the first time I've stayed at the resort. Our room was perfect! Clean, cozy, and so close to the slopes! I literally skied back to our room after a long day on the slopes and it was so convenient! Will definitely stay here again and recommend it to couples staying as well!

  I stayed here for a summer and all my interactions with the staff were fantastic. Bottled water was provided in 5-gallon jugs, when it got hot Antonella graciously allowed me to borrow some electric fans, and mail was received through the resort office and slipped under my door. All the dishes were provided (even a crock pot) and everything was in excellent condition. Cell service was spotty, probably because the building has a metal roof. I either took a walk to use my cell phone, or used the land line. This is an incredibly comfortable place to stay, even for a prolonged period. If I ever end up in Ironwood again, you can find me here!
