  The unit we stayed in Hugel House was very clean and perfect for our stay. It has been a few years since our last visit and the Hugel House is so convenient to get to the slopes and lodges. The Hugel House is just right for 2 people. The staff at the reservation window were nice and they handled our reservation very well and gave us all the necessary details for our stay. If you’re coming up, definitely have dinner at the lodge. Once again the waitress was very friendly and helpful.

  The location, as advertised, was great, during the ski season would be ideal. The property was clean, bathroom updated and the bed was comfortable. The appliances in the unit could use some updating, we had a problem with our refrigerator but the property manager resolved that in a very timely and professional manner. Overall our experience was great, with a few updates this place would be perfect -- can't beat the location.

  This place is located literally across the street from the main lodge and lifts. The inside isn't huge but had plenty of room for 4 adults to sit and hangout comfortably. There was plenty of cookware if you want to save some money and bring your own food. The pull out couch was more like a futon and kind of on the small side but we made it work. Overall, we were happy with the place and definitely would go back again.

  Second time we have stayed in Hugel House 1. Cheapest rental on or just off the hill. Nothing special, but having a place that close is nice when skiing is done for the day. Adequate kitchen so we could cook our own meals and nice TV in living room (TV in bedroom was not hooked up to cable).

  This property was conveniently located for our visit to the Bessemer area and sight seeing needs. It was designed as a ski hill condo and has not been updated in decades. It was clean and comfortable and has no air conditioning. Thankfully the evenings were cool during our July visit and we got a nice breeze by opening the windows. It is basic accommodations but suited ouur needs.

  For spring break we decided on Michigan over Montana due to the 4.5 hour drive vs 12 hours and th great midweek rate for both skiing and lodging. The loding was clean and adequate. The reason for the 4 stars is that the lodging needed updating and was in need of a number of repairs, loose door handles, plugged drains, etc. Being capable and having the tools with I took care of them myself. it would of been annoying to have an entry door squeaking all week, etc. Besides that, it was clean, comfortable and well stocked for cooking in.
  The staff at the lodge was second to none, they treated us like close family. we would recommend this for a fun, safe, affordable family vacation.

  The rental unit that I had was everything that it was advertised to be. The kitchen while older was in excellent working condition with all of the necessary tools. The bathroom has been updated and the furnishings were clean. There was however an issue with the baseboard heating system that would cause it to make sudden banging noises from time to time which should be addressed as I woke up the first night of my stay thinking someone was breaking in only to relaize it was the heat. You have a view of the two lodges as well as a portion of the mountain which is pleasant. You are within a few hundred foot walk to the main lodges which is very conveinent. All in all it was a great stay and I would recommend the property to others.

  This location was wonderful and very affordable. The actual room was much more like a one bedroom apartment with a full kitchen and living room. You couldn't get any closer to the resort. My only complaint is that the building had old radiator heat which made a lot of noise throughout the night (At least we think it was the heating. It could've been old pipes too.).

  My family (husband and parents) had a great long-weekend stay at this property in mid-February. The condo was a good size for the four of us and the distance to the mountain was great -- we could go back for lunch and breaks very easily. The place was very cozy -- we loved the electric fire place! It had everything we wanted and everything that was included in the description. We never took advantage of this service, but we appreciated that there was a shuttle service to restaurants and bars within the resort. My only complaint is about snow removal. Although a plow eventually came and cleared the portion of the parking lot closest to the road, the path to the door to the upstairs condos was not cleared the entire time we were there (and we got about 20 inches of snow that weekend!) All in all, I'd definitely recommend the condo to someone else, and we can't wait to stay there again.

  Took family midweek to ski this hill for the first time. Loved the hill and great conditions. Very quiet during the week. Wish the pool had a hot tub after a long day of skiing.

  This was apt 1 in the Hugel House, top floor. There was a ski locker on the porch. Stairs were a bit steep and narrow. Room was excellent, nice views from the front and bedroom windows. Very clean and comfortable. Nice TV and appliances. Very quiet while we were there. Would certainly recommend.

  Imagine an average rental condo (cheap furniture, bare kitchen necessities, lousy knives, cheap towels and so on). Hugel Haus 1 had a few additional detractors: It was tiny - maybe 12 feet wide throughout the unit, although the photos are completely accurate; bed sheets rough, not super comfortable; dresser drawers falling out; no dishwasher; half size oven/stove; could not figure out how to make the gas fire place work - although we didn't need it. Now add some wonderful additions:
  Completely remodeled - new bathroom, countertop, furniture, carpet; spring water dispenser! great toaster; excellent HD TV (no dvd player); Sleeper futon was very comfortable; ski locker for the unit; beautiful views out all the windows - mostly forest, but nice look at the ski hill and lodge. Loved access to the sauna and pool in the lodge.
  We would likely stay there again - it has been the nicest lodging so far compared to Indianhead Lodge, or Pine Mountain Lodge in Iron Mountain.
