  The Shannon was very easy to find. Easy Check In. Very roomy place!! Kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. Plenty of space to move around in.   I believe this was the fourth time we have stayed at the Shannon for our Summer family vacation. Our kids AND grandkids are all adults now, and it suits our needs well.
  When we arrived, we realized we'd need eight more sets of towels and washcloths and a few more keys,
  and management provided them within about an hour.
  The property is clean and comfortable, and our family enjoys the wrap-around porch for playing BAGS, and the pool table is an anytime favorite. The beautiful gas fireplace can take the chill out of your bones on a cool day, and although there is a TV available, we never even turn it on.
  We are all FOODIES and have always had good food in the area. Our favorites are The Liberty Bell, Mike's for breakfast, and Elk and Hound.
  Bayfield is close enough to want to spend a day up there kayaking, boating, picking blueberries, shopping and golfing. Everyone has something to look forward to on a nice day up there.
  We're hoping to do a "repeat" next year. We really missed being to gather at the SHANNON two summers ago.

  Shannon was a wonderful choice for everyone in our family. We had kids and parents of all ages and there was plenty of room and things to do. Of course, the hot tub was a big hit. The kitchen was well appointed, there was a pool table and other games, and the fireplace made it cozy. Our only nitpick is that we were there for skiing, we were hoping that it was a very short walk up the street to the slopes, and we ended up having to get our cars out frequently. We give a huge vote to the resort getting a shuttle running again. Otherwise, great customer service, and we highly recommend this house.

  The Shannon was perfect for our family of 11 adults. It was clean and very spacious with areas for all of us to sit and play and hang out. I loved how the kitchen, dining table and living room were all open so we could be together and everyone loved the game room and pool table. The bedrooms were great along with 3 full baths. The kitchen was very well equipped and the home had everything we needed. Close to the ski hill and beautiful setting. Was the perfect trip for us.

  This was our groups 2nd year staying at Shannon and we are hoping not our last. The chalet is big and the hot tub was used often. Can't wait to return!
  The only issue we had was with the resort itself. The nightlife seems to be dying. The Pub is now a supper club and the Caribou is the only bar that is open at night.

  Great time, Nearly perfect rating, but lots of steps to get to the front door. Very scenic location and very close to the skiing, down hill and Cross Country.   The Shannon Rental was very high quality, clean, and well stocked with all the amentities. Plenty of room for our whole family. The pool table, fireplace, and hot tub were big hits with the grandkids. The Powerhorn Mtr resort said there would be a shuttle running daily, but did not occur during our stay. Also the main pool at the lodge was shut down during our stay, due to maintenance issues, which disappointed the grand kids.

  We had such a great weekend at the Shannon. It was a mini-reunion for me and my siblings with our kids. Some of us skiied at Powderhorn, some went snowshoeing and cross country skiing and others just had a nice time hanging out at the Chalet. The Shannon Chalet was the perfect size for 14 people. It was nicely appointed as well with everything you'd need for a vacation. The hot tub was a nice added feature though a Sauna would make it even better. Thanks for the great weekend.

  When we arrived, we were very impressed by how clean the place was. The cabinets were stocked with plenty of dishes, cooking supplies, etc. We had a small leak and the management was over to the house within an hour and very friendly! The hot tub was serviced daily. We have no complaints.

  Everything was great....beyond expectations with the exception of three things. Shoveling of snow. There are a lot of stairs and with two close calls carrying in our stuff we had to shovel the stairs and a path to the door. The oven did not work properly.......never did reach the desired temperature. Thirdly, one of the upstairs bathrooms needed somethng done to the bathtub/shower. I was told there was a black grundge growing in the bathtub.
