  Our stay at Chateaux Stu 4 was very enjoyable. It was very clean and cozy and the gas fireplace felt so good to come back to after being out in the cold all day. The unit had everything we needed to cook our meals and to feel comfortable after a day of skiing. Only two blocks from the ski hill, It was perfect for the kids and I.

  This little château was perfect for us. The location is one block from the lodge. It had everything we needed and a comfy bed. Hot shower ! The hot tub was working in this unit, but it was not warm after the first day (it was not even bath water warm).

  Everything was ok. My main complaint is the mattress in the couch was absolutely horrible and as a result we had purchase an air mattress for the second night. Staff was friendly and informative. Would only recommend this location if only 2 people were staying.

  Overall the stay was very comfortable. Had issue with hot tub but was fixed promptly.
  Only real issue was parking. The lot wasn't plowed very well to allow space for all vehicles. Luckily I had a 4 wheel drive to partially park in snow bank to allow room for 2 other vehicles in same villa.

  We enjoyed this ski retreat with a hot tub experience. The lodging was clean and had all the basic amenities we were told about: lots of linens, kitchenware, and even soap and shampoo. It's not the most modern experience, but it's very comfortable. There's a nice view of the ski hill. The gas fireplace added a cozy feeling. The ability to check in & out without interaction was seamless.
  However, when I called the front desk with a few questions, they were friendly & helpful.
  
  Signs for the hot tub indicate not to use any glassware around it, however someone did this as we found some bits of broken glass at the bottom of the hot tub. We weren't hurt by this, but just fished it out. We didn't complain to management as our time there was brief and we didn't want to have to move or forfeit hot tub time. Good to beware of that potential situation in general with hot tubs, I guess. Also, the hot tub is right off the bedroom and the motor runs constantly and is a bit noisy. I like white noise at night, but the sound of the motor is a bit louder than I would prefer. I used a white noise app to buffer it.
  
  Helpful hint: burgundy wash cloths are intended for washing dishes. No sponge was supplied.
  
  All in all, we really enjoyed our stay (& the skiing too)!

  The fireplace, hot tub and location make this an awesome place to stay on a ski trip. But for $250 a night, would be great to have some decent pots/pans that don't have 30 years of grime and use on them. This place is clean and well-supplied in terms of towels (would be nice to have access to laundry). All the appliances work but are very old. No dishwasher. New cookware please!

  We had such a great stay at Powderhorn Mountain Resort. Great customer service at the main office when it came to lift tickets, and questions about our stay. The shuttle was also a great add to our stay and only took about five minutes to arrive. We will definitely be coming back.

  Yooper little ski trip, non-snowmobiling, 7 day skiing MTN round. Missed out on continuing full tour of MTN's, Blackjack, Indianhead, Bohemia, ABR, Presque Isle snow shoe tour, because of weather.
  
  The first place we went to was in 'soooooo... disrepair' Old'e White Cap, thought the ski lifts would fall, seems the magic Yooper Gnomes who made the place run have shaved their breads of it, but we skied two days none stop on the old rickety rides up the mountain. The skiing was fantastic, food was great, where we stayed was nice, Hot tub, pool were awesome, really too bad once one of those jewels of ski mountains in the upper Wisconsin-Michigan area has gone to scary carnival rides.
  Second ski slope we visited was big open groomers Big Powderhorn, brand new facility, always awesome folks, High speeds downhill runs, mid week plenty of open area to traverse at high speeding velocity, minimal stalled skiers or tailed up boarders on slope, some bumps, couple X, great soft snow, those folks gave us sunshine day of ski. Only weird funny thing about this and all the places was all the locals, would staked claims to chairs and tables in chalet and this was mid week, even though the signs were posted for open seating no reserving tables and everyone is outside skiing. They would leave coolers, or a big mess of half eaten food on tables - I guess so nobody else could sit down - this seems to be their local small town thing of area.
  Seemed simple enough to staggered our lunch to an hour later, so we did not have to deal with any locals table Yooper ritual, and 30 minutes later all locals were out of chalet and most seats were empty, except for the their ****. No issues!
  Skiing was good, X-Skiing ABR and Wolverine Ski Trails, later in evenings was starry night awesome, commendations everywhere were good, night life was good. Moved on to Next downhill MTN Blackjack/Indianhead, but finally rainy weather sent us home several days early.

  I had a pleasant stay at Big Powderhorn in the Chateaux Stu. It accommodated my group in both space and cleanliness. All of the cookware and flatware was ready to use and neatly stored. The pullout couch, although kind of rough to sleep on, was adequate for one person. Some criticism: The sauna was not functional and it was not noted on the site. The building is open to whoever would like to come in and there are keys for the four units in the basement, and the two upper units have open porches.

  Great time, great price!! My only complaint was that the hot tub was too hot!! The thermometer read 108°F. The hottest a tub should get is 104, we got cooked. But overall I highly recommend staying here! Very cozy, quarter of a mile from the hill!

  The check-in service was in the main lodge/ticket building and I wish that someone would have told me that because there were several buildings in the area that had signs for "reservation" and "lodging". Apparently, these are other condo units not associated with the SkiNStay. Although the website states 2 one day lift tickets for 2 adult with the SkiNSTay, that really means 2 free lift tickets, not two for each adult for two days. The condos are across the road, a 2-4 minute walk to the main gates, we drove back and forth. We stayed at the second floor unit where the floor creaked alot, luckily nobody was in the unit below us. Towels and linen were clean. Kitchen was cozy but plates, pots, and other kitchen ware were mismatched and hodg-podge but usable. Overall, not a bad place to stay and ski.

  We were in Ironwood for 6 days: first xc skiing at the ABR trails and then to Big Powderhorn for snowboarding. It was just too bad that the snow didn't come until we had to leave. overall though, it was a really good experience. The hill was really nice and for not getting fresh snow, the transformed snow was great! Not icy at all. The one thing with the room I would have liked to see is how often the hot tub is cleaned. Never know about the last people who stayed, but that is not a major concern. We liked the layout of the room and the fact that we could enjoy the sunset out on the balcony. Will definitely come back.
