Boule de Neige (Located in Powderhorn Village)

Well maintained, 3 bedroom, 3 bathrooms chalet. Continually updated unit located within Powderhorn Village with an indoor sauna. The main level has 3 bedrooms, 2 with queen sized beds, and one with 2 twin beds. Loft has two twin beds. There are 2 baths on the first floor and a 3rd near the sauna on the second floor. Spiral staircase leads to upper level containing well stocked kitchen, bar with countertop, microwave and dishwasher. Great room overlooks the hill with two sliding glass doors, free standing wood burning fireplace, and flat screen TV, and Wi-Fi. Gas grill on newly refurbished deck. Nonsmoking unit. Sorry no pets allowed. Chalet located 1 mile from 5 waterfalls and great hiking even in the winter.

  The living and sleeping space was excellent. Great chalet feel. Location was great. Spiral staircase to the kitchen was a little tricky to get the cooler up. Hot tub was great, but unfortunately stopped working on our third day.

  The unit worked out well for a 2 generation family. The spiral staircase was a challenge to get a cooler up to the kitchen. The unit could use a little TLC. The TV did not work and the foosball table had no balls.Other than that the unit was well equipped and comfortable. Great location to see the slopes. Grandkids loved jumping in the snow and then the hot tub.

  My husband, 3 grown children and girlfriends, 2 grandchildren and myself stayed together. We had plenty of room and it was very homey. It was clean and stocked with most everything we needed. We could have used more towels and we had to space showers to get hot water. The hot tub was green on the second day. We did not use the sauna.

  We had a wonderful time with our adult kids and families. The house was perfect for our numbers and we enjoyed the location near Powderhorn for a day of skiing and Black River Harbor for a day of hiking near the lake and the waterfalls. The spring rush of water over the falls was awesome!

  Myself and 7 friends spent the weekend at the Boule de Neige for my brothers Bachelor party and we had an awesome time. The cabin was perfect and so was the setting. The hot tub water was pretty dirty and orange in the daylight, other than that it was perfect. Sauna was a plus.

  Went up with a group of friends for a weekend. The check in process was easy. The place was nice, the only weird thing is that the only way to get upstairs to the kitchen/living room is by use of spiral staircase. The sauna/hot tub were great after a day of skiing. A few burn marks were on the carpet from the fireplace, but pretty good condition overall.

  Every aspect of the rental experience was superb. From the ease of check-in, quality of rental, to the quality of the village experience, I would recommend this rental to anyone and everyone. Literally the only suggestion for improvement that I have is for clear instructions on how to use the fireplace and fire starters. Otherwise, the property is well-maintained, beds were extremely comfortable, heat was excellent, sauna was clean and easy to use... the list goes on! We are excited to come back next year for our third annual trip to Big Powderhorn for MLK Weekend!

  The Cabin is very close to the mountain, and the bus is very convenient and it arrives quickly after you call. The bathrooms were old and not as clean as I would have liked.
  
  The view of the mountain is great. We were able to watch New Years eve Fireworks and the lighted torch Parade from the living room and the back porch.
  
  Hot tub was great. Some of the furniture could use to be replaced. The kitchen chairs in particular are in bad shape.
  
  I would have liked to know about the spiral staircase that is the only way up to the kitchen and living room. It is very small and was not easily climbed by my 75 year old parents that came with to watch their grand-kids ski.
  
  Overall this was a great experience and we would recommend it to anyone, but full disclosure of the spiral staircase would have been useful info to have.
  
  Don't miss dinner at the Black River Valley Pub. It was very good and reasonably priced.

  We REALLY enjoyed our holiday weekend at Powderhorn! The chalet was everything we needed & more! VERY nice & helpful people at the resort. Great shuttle service so we didn't have to drive to the mtn! We LOVED the hot tub! The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed! 3 bathrooms was perfect for our group of 10 & the sleeping arrangements were good for all! LOTS of TVs & WiFi - something for everyone! Spiral staircase was a bit challenging moving things in, but it's doable unless you have bad legs! We will definitely come back!

  Plenty of room and amenities for everyone. The wood burning fireplace is great along with the small sauna and hot tub. I would not recommend staying at the location if someone has a hard time getting around as there is a spiral staircase to get up to the kitchen/living room area.

  We had a magical time at Boule de Neige at Powderhorn Village...blessed with the foot of snow that arrived with us on Dec. 20th. Alittle disappointed only 3 runs were opened but we paid 1/2 the lift ticket price. Next day went to Indian Head to ski, they had 13 runs opened. Overall nice place to stay.
